Alois Mecera

Biography

Alois Mecera was a Czech film architect, one of the pioneers of Czech film scenography. He started in film in the early 1920s. During his nearly forty-year career, he participated in more than a hundred films. The most famous ones include Battalion (1927), Colonel Švec (1929), The Minister's Girlfriend (1940), Hotel Modrá hvězda (1941), The Iron Old Man (1948) or The Baton, Out of the Bag! (1955).
